1. My entry about my nephew early this summer. I did a lot of dishes and laundry for my new-mommy sister and new-daddy brother in-law, changed baby Ben's diaper 4 times, and watched poo come out of his butt. I think I'll stick to the laundry and dishes.
2. Arcadio album. This was way harder and time consuming than I thought it'd be. Usually I practice a song, walk into the studio, record my bit, hi-five whoever was there, walk out and go home to Shark Week. Can't complain though, I've learned a ton about recording and how to more or less be a good ear, hopefully without being a dick. I think we're gonna have us one pretty damn good album by the end of this project, so watch out you thousands of readers to this blog.
3. Tutoring a whopping 2 hours a week at SFSU. I can't help but have that "I helped someone," rewarding feeling after each session when I know the advice I gave was about 80% nonsense. Nonetheless, this ol' volunteering bit has been pretty cool, though it made me aware of casually I swear. The coordinators were nice enough to throw us tootors a pizza party and a tea-cookie party. Two kinds of parties I love are ones involving pizzas and the other involving cookies.
4. Job? Yes. This one seriously fell into my lap by the considerate hand of a former coworker and friend. It was the easiest paying gig I've ever landed, minus that one job I did plating food for some big catering event with a guy named Bj back in college. Now I can afford things, again!
