I somehow managed to survive my first year in grad school. Well, I guess I don't quite know yet since grades won't be posted for a while. Either way, it's summer time and I have nothing to do - and when Cho has nothing to do, Cho blogs.
The highlights of the semester:
1. feeling stress again
2. getting acupuncture because of it
3. working with a fundamental Christian chap who thinks the internet is the modern devil
4. watching a bunch of undergrads get arrested for drinking on the train
5. taking a Xanax right before a presentation and then drinking whiskey after it was over
It's truly been wonderful. Despite the workload being the same if not more than the ol' jorb, I like being my own boss. I can work whenever I want, save money by eating at home and my bowels are back in order.
My plans for the summer? I don't know. What are YOU doing and can I come?
Let's see, what's been going on lately... that dude I date is graduating from law school, our apartment just got a little more claustrophobic with these ginormous green sofa chairs, my sister will soon squeeze out a baby boy, and oh, the Star Trek movie was so hot! This surely was a shining moment for science fiction. I don't care what you think, I'm mad crushing on Spock - aka. that overdone character on Heroes. Robotic pragmatism with a hint of humanity is always sexy in my book.
