Just finished my FAFSA. I now pray to the student loan gods because praying is all I've got since there's no way Gov. Conan-Kindergarten Cop-Junior-Twins is gonna throw me a bone. I learned of my acceptance to Cal State East Bay (formerly Hayward) through email while waiting for my bus yesterday morning...Although my online status still says "pending" I'm just gonna cross my fingies and say that the online account is a bit behind. Yay plan B school!
After doing a bit of research and finding one sad Yelp review, I learned that CSU East Bay's graduate English department is excellent and emphasizes a learning-through-writing method, whatever that is...I'll say "whatever" despite how apparently self-explanatory it is. I also learned from my sister that it's one of the larger departments at the school since they're infiltrating the Music building. Oh, and if I end up going here I am ordered to join the orchestra. HA! Like they'd want me and my air viola-ing through hard passages! So my knowledge of CSU East Bay's English department is pretty limited. If you know ANYTHING about their program, please let me know. I'm not expecting anything amazing, especially considering the slim Google results I get when I type CSU East Bay or Hayward, English, Graduate, quief.
Also, if you want to donate money to my noble education feel free. I won't promise anything in return unless you want to watch me watching tv and/or eating a burrito. (just kidding ;) But if you want to watch me watch tv and/or eat a burrito at no cost, feel free.
